Serial entrepreneur and Angel investor at Sydney Angels.

Justin founded rentahome, a holiday rental marketplace, in 1999 and with $60k bootstrapped to 25,000 ecommerce bookable listings (the model Airbnb pitched to Sequoia in 2009!). In 2011, the business was sold to Stayz (Fairfax, ASX) for $29 million, YesBookit SaaS application was purchased and the whole lot sold in 2013 to NASDQ listed HomeAway. Justin had responsibilities for strategy, P/L, SaaS product development, partnerships, industry leadership and regulations.

In 2015, following a 16 year start up journey, Justin set off on year’s a sabbatical travelling, studying and conferencing, and of course investing in startups as an active member of the Sydney Angels and Innovation Bay. Justin has over a dozen investments in marketplace or SaaS start ups across finance, property, IOT and labour. Outside of the start up world, Justin spends time in Byron Bay and enjoying art, being on the Foundation Board of the Art Gallery of New South Wales.
